our recipe for success

PlayTogetherNow is one big family. Many refugees have found a second home with us. We support a socially marginalised group. Shared leisure activities are an effective way to combat traumatisation, depression and despair. This promotes mental and physical health. PlayTogetherNow means much more than just ‘playing together’.

The universal language

As soccer and theatre inspire people in all regions of the world, our method is universal and not limited to Austria. Our holistic approach sees collective movement as a tool to set individual and collective development processes in motion. Winning and competition are not the most important things, but values such as fairness, respect, understanding, solidarity and equality.

Inclusion

„PlayTogetherNow is like a family”

We do not work with target groups: PlayTogetherNow works with people. This is the only way we can realise inclusion at all levels. In our programmes, we respond to special needs or traumatic biographies and offer people the opportunity to develop. This is why people often take advantage of our programmes for years.

Partizipation

"Get involved! We play and work together."

We create safe spaces where people can meet and actively contribute to the club. Former refugees become football or running coaches at PlayTogetherNow, constantly renewing the club from the inside out. New activities are offered in line with demand and planned together with the community.

Individual support

"Without PlayTogetherNow, I would be homeless right now."

We provide support when it's needed. PlayTogetherNow supports many players holistically in the integration process: be it through our sports and leisure programmes, in finding accommodation or a job or through psychosocial support.

Voluntary work

"Challenges that suddenly arise can put a strain on the social system. Civil society then stands ready and is the backbone of a functioning community."

We are organised on a voluntary basis. This allows us to use donations carefully for our activities. At the same time, PlayTogetherNow can react flexibly to the needs of the participants, as we maintain our financial independence as far as possible thanks to our lean structure.

Psychological support

We help them find accommodation, provide legal advice, help them at school, hold discussions and much more. Where there is a need for dialogue and more intensive support, the participants are also supported by trainee psychotherapists.
